Select which employees are included in notifications
By default, all employees are included on a notification. For example, all birthday celebrations are sent to the same channel at the same time.
Sometimes you may want to have finer grain control over which employees are included in a notification. Relay allows you to filter employees on a notification by a combination of their:
- Department
- Division
- Location
Information about departments, divisions and locations are automatically pulled from your Breathe HR account. Double check that you have correctly assigned these fields in Breathe.
Select notification to edit from the notifications list
Press the edit button on the notification you would like to apply a filter.

Select which filters you wish to enable
You can select which Department, Division or Location you wish to filter your employees by. As you make changes to your selection, the number of employees that match your filter will automatically update at the top of the window.
Once you're happy with the selection, press save.
Save the notification
The filter shows up in the summary
